Very pretty, unique necklace December 12, 2008

I bought this necklace for a very reduced price ($40 instead of the $200 value) and am very happy with my purchase. I have gotten multiple compliments on it already. It is delicate and will go with an array of clothing. I do agree with the previous reviewer in that matching earrings would be splendid. The quality of this product is great, just as with all the other Sajen jewelry I have purchased. A beautiful necklace that is really unique and certainly worth the price it is currently listed at ($130).

I just received this and was very happy with the quality. The small flowers looked very black in the photo, but they are shell with silver dot centers. The shell material makes up all the flowers and the little dangling discs. The shell picks up blue, green, and pink reflections, just like mother-of-pearl does. This is also true of the little discs, as they move when you do. The larger flowers (about the size of a nickel) have a silver daisy-shaped base on the back I didn't expect(which is nice as it protects them from breaking.) The centers of these are little grayish-purple beads.
I also worried that this might be too stiff as the whole bottom looked like one piece. Instead, only the "branch" part from the photo is stiff, the rest is attached with links. This makes it lay on your neck very nicely.
It is about 4 inches from flower to flower, which goes down to 3 inches when it is draped on your neck and about a 4 inch drop. It has a nice not-tiny chain with larger links at the end for adjustability. When on the smallest setting, the very bottom is about as long as an 18-inch necklace. On the longest setting, the bottom tip reaches the same place as a 27-inch chain. So if you dare wear something that lowcut or if you wear it over a shirt, you are set!
I think it is quite different and still feminine. I feel it would work for more casual clothes as well as something more dressy (Heck it might even work with a bathing suit!) Now I must find matching earrings!!
